About Zofia
I'm a university student who's been playing oboe as long as I can remember. I've tutored at local primary school band camps, as well as doing private tutoring in other areas. In my time playing oboe, I've been a member or the NSW Public Schools Symphony Orchestra for 5 years, as well as performing in the School Spectacular, and many other events.

I base my teaching on the students level and personal goals. I think it's important to understand, and master the basics, such as scales and breathing, especially in an instrument like oboe, but with younger students, we also need to have fun, and explore what you can do with your music.

I've been Zofia's friend since we were young. Oboe has always been a part of her life, and I love watching her play. She has a very gentle teaching style, I know from when we study together, and she's happy to slow down or speed up to match your level of understanding. She and her family speak German regularly around the household. Her younger brother is still learning, but she can communicate easily with her mother and she's very patient when speaking with her brother, always helping out.
Having been tutored by Zofia myself, I can vouch to both her character and abilities to be an excellent tutor. Zofia is kind and patient as well as being very well qualified in the role. Her expertise in oboe and practicing of German both in her home and conversing overseas makes her a great tutor.
