About Bruce Alan
My teaching/tutoring philosophy is to focus on underlying concepts, and to help each student better understand what is really going on -- rather than mere memorization of meaningless formulas and rote recitation of rules! Most of my students find me both "patient" and "tolerant" (check out the student feedback in my profile!), and many wind up loving a subject they initially thought they hated! Upon request, I can provide references from several pleased parents or students.
