About Tielman JF
I was an agricultural economics writer/editor for a business publication with the title FINWEEK from 1984 to 1997 in Johannesburg, South Africa, when I retired. FINWEEK is published in Johannesburg, South Africa.
After my compulsory retirement date in May 1997, I taught economics for three (3) years to Grade 12 pupils/learners. This was from the year 2000 till the end of 2004.
I also was a part time lecturer at the Tshwane University for Technology in Pretoria, South Africa. The department is Information Sciences.I taught BUSINESS REPORTING and INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING. In both study fields the emphases was on MACRO ECONOMICS and how it influences business decisions/business performances through/via interest rates. I taught at this institution from 1996 till the end of 2011.
Many of my students are influential business writer at/with various South African business publications such as Business Report, Business Day, Business Beeld, Finweek etc.

I am an agricultural economics editor with 23 years of experience. I am also a economics tutor with three years exposure to grade 12 (metric) learners.
I also taught Business Reporting and Investigative Reporting at University Level to second year students. I taught these subjects from 1996 until 2011 (15 years).
I obtained the degree B.Economics (B.Econ) with the main subjects Economics 111 and Political Science 111.
