Photography is all about understanding light.
The word has Greek roots - phōtós (φωτός) "Light" + graphé (γραφή) "Drawing", so essentially we should consider this art form to be drawing with light.
Learning the technical aspects of controlling your camera is key to being able to capture light exactly how you want to and create the images you imagine.
Your lessons will tailored to your skills and needs as a photographer:
If you are new to the hobby we would start by discussing composition and colour before delving into the seemingly complex settings of your camera - "auto" mode is your friend at this stage!
If you've naturally got that artistic eye then the focus would be more on the ins and outs of how to manipulate your camera's abilities to their full potential.
Once you've got the camera figured out we can start implementing various tools and essential accessories - off camera flash, remote shutter release, tripods, reflectors etc - and a dive into various lens types and their uses. The only limit to a photographers ability is their imagination.
Lesson times are flexible starting at 30 minutes but an ideal lesson would be 1-2 hours at a location that suits your chosen subject matter. Depending on budget (please contact me for any complex needs e.g studio rental, specific equipment etc) we can cover almost any subject and photographic setting.

Nile is amazing on teaching Stakeboard. He helped me build confidence on myself and instructed me step by step which was valuable for a new starter. I would highly recommend Nile for Stakeboard lessons for any age group.
Nile has been absolutely amazing with our daughter. I can thoroughly recommend him as a skateboarding teacher. He really knows his stuff and is very passionate about teaching. Nile is very patient and encouraging and has given our daughter the confidence she needs.
My daughter was a complete skateboarding beginner 3 months ago. Nile has given her lots of confidence so she can now do drop ins/drop offs and other skills. Nile helped me improve my skateboarding massively, I was really struggling with getting my kickflips down but after a few sessions I can nail them every time. We are starting to work on hardflips now! I would highly recommend.
My kids - ages 7 and 4 - loved their first skateboard lesson with Nile and have been begging to go again since. They already learnt new skills with him and he was really patient, attentive and explained things very well!
Nile is a great teacher, I'm 25 and he's really patient and friendly makes the whole thing very relaxed and comfortable. I've learnt so much in just one hour with Nile! Much more than in group lessons at local parks. Really good teacher looking forward to learning more!
