About Nika

Hi! I'm Nika, a Computer Science (Software Engineering) student at the University of Malaya (UM) with a strong passion for programming, technology, and teaching.

I currently work as a coding teacher, where I teach coding and computational thinking to students with different skill levels and create project-based lessons to help them develop their programming and problem-solving abilities.

Alongside teaching, I have hands-on experience in software engineering. I have developed a full-stack CRM platform commissioned by a Malaysian company, working with technologies including TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Prisma, React, and REST APIs. I also have experience through software engineering and IoT internships, giving me exposure to software testing, secure systems, networking, and real-world technology projects.

I believe a good teacher should be able to explain complicated ideas in a simple way, be patient when students struggle, and make learning something students genuinely enjoy.

I teach in English and Persian and can work with students ranging from complete beginners to more advanced learners.

My aim isn't simply to help students write code; it's to help them become confident problem-solvers who understand what they're building and why it works.

Learn technology by building, not just memorizing.

Every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to their current level, from complete beginners to students who are already comfortable with programming.

What I can teach:
• Python programming
• Java programming
• Web development
• HTML & CSS
• Data Science
• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning fundamentals
• IoT & basic networking concepts

My teaching approach:
Rather than spending the entire lesson listening to explanations, students learn through hands-on exercises, challenges, and projects. For younger students, I make programming more visual and engaging through games, animations, and creative projects. For more advanced students, we can work on larger projects and real-world programming concepts.

Lessons can be tailored around your goals, whether you want to:
Learn programming from zero
Improve your existing coding skills
Build games or personal projects
Understand AI and Machine Learning
Learn how websites and software are built
Prepare for programming courses or assignments
Develop problem-solving and computational-thinking skills

My goal is for every student to leave the lesson having learned something new and actually created something themselves.
