About Jon
Hi, I'm Jon, a teacher from the North East. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher growing up and teaching during the Covid pandemic really opened my eyes as to the advantages of online teaching. I live with my artist wife and our golden retriever.
Physics never really clicked with me at school, in fact I only studied it at A-level because I loved maths and wanted to supplement my maths and further maths choices. However my A-level teacher really gave me a love of physics and science as a whole and it is them I try to model my teaching on - being patient and kind but having high standards at all times.
Outside of teaching I enjoy running, baking and learning German.
I am very flexible so let me know the times that work for you and I look forward to supporting you to achieve some results you can be really proud of.

I have been tutoring online and teaching for 8 years and have helped students studying GCSEs and A-levels in Physics achieve excellent results. As an exam marker for AQA and Edexcel, I have an in-depth knowledge of the exam boards and requirements for achieving excellent grades.
My lessons are an hour in length and delivered via Zoom. I explain concepts patiently, building off a student's prior knowledge. I have a full bank of resources that are shared with all students and make daily YouTube videos to help support my students.
I have particular experience tutoring students who are unable to attend school for a variety of reasons. I am also an expert at supporting students with SEND, having taken several courses during my teaching career.
