About Louis
I am a passionate Guitar tutor with over 5 years of experience teaching college students. I believe guitar learning should be enjoyable, practical, and confidence-building. My goal is to help students feel relaxed with the instrument and enjoy making music.
My teaching style is student-centered and flexible. I take time to understand each student’s goals, learning pace, and musical interests. Based on this, I design lessons that are clear, structured, and easy to follow.
I use innovative teaching methods such as song-based learning, guided practice routines, and technique-focused exercises. Students learn chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle techniques, and rhythm by playing real songs. I also use backing tracks to help improve timing and musical confidence.
Music theory is taught in a simple and practical way so students can apply it directly on the guitar. I also encourage creativity through improvisation and basic songwriting activities.
I create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My aim is to help college students become confident guitar players who enjoy learning and practicing music.

My teaching methodology for Guitar is built on creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. I aim to make learning music exciting and meaningful. Lessons focus on improvisation, songwriting, and exploring different musical styles, encouraging students to find their own sound.
Critical thinking is central to my approach. I teach students to analyze songs, understand chord progressions and scales, and make informed musical decisions. This helps them develop independence and confidence as musicians.
Accountability is key. I guide students to set achievable goals, practice consistently, and reflect on progress. Regular feedback and encouragement ensure motivation and growth.
Alongside Guitar, I teach music theory, ear training, composition, and performance techniques. Lessons are customized to the student’s level, pace, and learning style.
My goal is to mentor students into creative, self-reliant musicians who enjoy performing and expressing themselves through music.
