About Christina
I studied law because of a genuine desire to help people, and teaching is one of the ways I am able to do that. I believe that education can be life-changing, especially when complex subjects are explained in a way that makes them feel manageable and achievable. I completed my law studies while working full time, which gave me first-hand experience of how demanding and overwhelming law can be. Balancing work, studies, deadlines, and exams is not easy, and there were many moments where the volume of theory and pressure felt daunting. Because I have been through that process myself, I understand the challenges law students face — not just academically, but practically and emotionally as well. What helped me succeed was learning how to study law strategically, rather than trying to memorize everything. This is what I aim to pass on to my students: clear explanations, effective study methods, and confidence in approaching exams and assessments. I teach because I want to help students move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling capable. Whether a student is struggling to pass or aiming to improve their marks, my goal is to support them in getting through law school with greater clarity, confidence, and control.

My law tutoring lessons are structured, practical, and focused on helping students succeed in tests and exams, not just understand the theory.
I provide concise, well-organised exam notes that break complex legal concepts down into manageable sections. These notes are designed to help students revise effectively, identify key principles, and understand how topics are tested in exams. Where possible, notes are aligned with typical South African law exam standards and expectations.
A major focus of my lessons is exam technique. Many students understand the content but lose marks due to poor structure, weak application, or misreading questions. I teach students how to:
Analyse problem questions correctly
Identify relevant legal issues
Apply the law logically to the facts
Write clear, structured, and concise answers under time pressure
I also place strong emphasis on legal writing skills, including sentence structure, logical flow, use of authority, and clarity of expression. These skills are essential not only for exams but for assignments and future legal practice.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and supportive. I aim to create a calm learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult material at their own pace.
