About Kathlyn
Hello! My name is Lyn, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in Mathematics. With an academic background in Accounting, I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which I enjoy sharing with my students in a simple and engaging way.
I believe every student can do well in Math with the right guidance, encouragement, and practice. My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and growing in confidence.
I chose to become a tutor because I enjoy making a difference in students' learning journeys. Seeing students understand concepts they once found difficult and achieve their academic goals is incredibly rewarding. Whether you need help strengthening your foundation, improving your grades, or preparing for exams, I am committed to supporting you every step of the way.

My teaching approach is centered on helping students understand concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas. I break down complex topics into simple, easy-to-follow steps and encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson. I adapt my teaching methods to each student's learning pace and use plenty of examples and guided practice to build confidence and improve problem-solving skills.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are conducted online in English. Each session includes a review of previous topics, explanation of new concepts, worked examples, and practice questions to reinforce learning.
I have an academic background in Accounting, which has equipped me with strong analytical and numerical skills. I am passionate about helping students develop a solid foundation in Mathematics and achieve their academic goals through patient and supportive guidance.
My lessons are suitable for students studying Cambridge Mathematics (Years 4–9) and Malaysian Mathematics (Years 4–6 and Form 1–3). I also welcome homeschooled students who are looking for structured online Mathematics lessons. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or getting ahead in class, I provide personalized lessons designed to meet their individual needs.
