About Marie

My top skills as a tutor : I'm bilingual (it helps facilitate communication with parents or guide you through your learning if you're beginner), I have a lot of patience and I'm funny and creative. I take pride in making tailor-based content for each of my students. This is why my method works.

I'm a self-employed private tutor and am constantly training to better my skills to help you improve yours (currently working on a certifying training with CNED).

I graduated with a masters degree in English research (2019) from the University of Nice, and I have worked as an ECA in two francophone daycares in Toronto, Ontario.

I have previously tutored through an agency, teaching English or French to 20+ students - usually in 1-on-1 sessions - since 2014. I have worked with students in all age groups, from young children to teenagers and adults.

Since I moved to Canada in 2019, I've tutored many students and continue to work with many of them to help them achieve their goals.

I'll schedule a call with you to discuss your goals: I want to gauge your current level and know your purpose for learning French so that we can achieve your goals together. Accordingly, it is crucial for me to get an idea of what you like (hobbies, TV series, etc.) so that I can create and adapt my content to make classes as fun and engaging as possible for you.

I use Zoom to host the session and you will be given access to a Google folder in which I will keep track of our lessons and conversations as well as any link or document that is useful for your progress.

I can help beginners who want to learn French, as well as anyone who wants to improve.

I've worked with preschool age children for the past two years and can provide online classes with an emphasis on singing, story telling, easy small routines and games to give them a taste for learning French.

He insisted on showing me a beautiful rainbow he drew at school and that was the starting point to our session as we discussed colours. Then we drew monsters and he was very eager and seemed to have fun. He made a solid effort at using French words to give me instructions. I believe that his confidence and spoken French will improve in no time as we get to know each other better and continue working together!

There are times when I ask Marie to deviate from her lesson plan so she can help with a specific homework requirement, and she has been very flexible with anything I have asked, it's been a tremendous help for both me and my daughter
