About Eric
Why Take Lessons With Me?
With over 10 years of teaching experience, I’ve worked with students of all skill levels—from absolute beginners to seasoned professionals—and across all age groups.
I’ve been personally invited to open for legendary acts like ZZ Top at the Eccles Theater and blues greats Walter Trout and Mike Zito at The State Room in Utah.
I’ve performed at major events including SXSW and the 2025 Durango Blues Train, and I was a featured artist at the Utah Blues Festival three years in a row (2022, 2023, 2024).
I’ve shared the stage and jammed with world-class blues musicians Tab Benoit, Nick Moss, Thornetta Davis, Vanessa Collier, Albert Castiglia, Tony Holiday, Laura Chavez, and Sugaray Rayford. I’ve released three full-length albums at various production levels.
My latest project was recorded with a team of Grammy nominees and Blues Music Award winners.

What Will I Teach You?
I offer lessons in a wide range of styles and topics, including—but not limited to—blues, rock, slide guitar, open tunings, songwriting, music theory, fretboard navigation, rhythm and lead guitar, electric and acoustic playing, home recording, and developing your unique sound.
I also cover practical skills, like how to prepare for jam sessions, book shows, perform with bands of various sizes, and use recording software effectively. I also teach beginner bass guitar and ukulele.
