About Amanda

My private music lessons are thoughtfully designed for students of all ages, supporting growth in music reading, ear training, performance, piano technique, and music technology, including recording techniques and basic editing software.
To create a truly personalized learning experience, I begin by getting to know each student’s goals and aspirations as a musician. From there, I develop a custom lesson plan aligned with your artistic vision and designed to support your musical journey.
For children, I offer a structured and engaging curriculum that includes:
-Sight-reading development
-Ear training
-Singing
-Music theory games and activities
-Piano technique exercises
-Composition and music writing
-Repertoire building
-Recital preparation and optional support for piano proficiency exams such as ABRSM, RCM, or Trinity
-Performance coaching
For students interested in music technology and creative production, I also offer:
-Recording fundamentals
-Basic mixing and editing
-Introduction to music production (ProTools, Ableton Live, Logic, FL Studio)
-Songwriting
Whether you are just beginning or refining your craft, lessons are tailored to help you grow into a confident, expressive, and well-rounded musician.
At the heart of my teaching is equipping each student with the tools and confidence to:
-Develop strong sight-reading and effective practice habits
-Build strong piano technique and musical expression
-Perform with freedom, precision, ease and confidence
I also incorporate ear training to help students recognize rhythms, harmonic changes, and melodic patterns by sound, strengthening musical awareness and supporting a more intuitive playing experience.
With over 12 years of classical piano training and a background in audiovisual editing, performing arts, and music technology, I create custom learning materials and visual tools that reinforce key concepts and support continued growth between lessons.
Additionally, I consider it a true privilege to teach music to students of all ages. It is one of my greatest joys to help others grow and thrive at the piano while creating beautiful music.
