About David
I picked up guitar for the first time at 4 years old and learned how to play "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple.I am 21 years old from Portage County, Ohio. I have taught myself how to play guitar as well as navigate the musical alphabet for the past 17 years, focusing on rock, hard rock, and metal music, but expanding to pop as well as blues and jazz, and many other genres. I give lessons to multiple local clients in my area, three at the moment, which include guitar and drum lessons. I've been doing so for about a years and see great progress in my students! This includes more accuracy and speed while playing more difficult content, and understanding how songs are written. I spent about a year playing live acoustic shows at local community gatherings which included cover and original songs.

My teaching lessons are based upon the individual or individual's understanding of certain topics in Music. If there is no understanding, I'll start from the ground up. I can teach beginner-advanced level guitar, and being 21, my audience could be anyone young or old looking to learn more about the guitar. In this case guitar, I like to focus on concepts like chords and riffs and their fundamentals, then move to applicable examples of the certain topic. Doing this topic by topic will increase the musical vocabulary of the student and in time the student will be able to put all the concepts together to unlock the guitar.
