About Jose Luis
José Luis Gimenez began his musical career in Neuquén in 2001 as a participant in the singing contest "Todo un Pueblo Canta" of which he was chosen as Best Melodic Soloist. At the age of sixteen, he recorded his first record material: an anthology of melodic songs and boleros of all time, with the participation of renowned musicians from Alto Valle. Presenting his album, José Luis made a large number of participations in shows in Patagonia with great success. In 2002, José Luis won first prize as a Latin singer at the Cruz del Sur Festival, in which singers from all the provinces of the Patagonian region participated. José Luis Gimenez was part of important musical productions. He was summoned to be part of the starring cast of the musical comedy "Dracula" that was presented in Neuquén. Likewise, in General Roca he formed the cast of "Cats". In 2006, José Luis gave rise to "The Patagonian Company", the first English-language musical comedy company in Patagonia; organizing cultural activities and artistic training for the members of the company. To close this project, which was declared of cultural interest, the musical "Alice's Magic World" premiered with a large cast on stage, featuring a choir and a live dance corps. In addition to his career as a singer, José Luis Gimenez ventured into the radio world, in charge of conducting and producing two radio programs: "Satellite Satellite" aimed at children and "Haceme Pata", an entertainment and general interest program. Since 2007, José Luis Gimenez has combined his live performances with the direction of various musical shows, mostly in the English language, promoting new talents in the region. Works such as: The Little Mermaid, Strawberry Shortcake, Pirate's Land, among others. In 2013, José Luis Gimenez is presented with a new musical show combining the most varied genres that have been part of his shows throughout his artistic career. In addition, he launched his own singing workshop to share with new talents all his experience as a singer and artist. He also returned to radio on Radio Cumbre, with a column of shows where he shares with the public all the information about regional artists and broadcasts live performances from the studio; thus promoting artistic and cultural activity. During 2014, José Luis Gimenez became the vocalist of Nórdica, a power metal band, releasing in 2015 the album "Las Memorias de La Luna" under the ICARUS label. Since 2013, José Luis Gimenez is the voice of Anthology Band, with an international repertoire with strong influences from R&B, Disco, and Funky. He also participates as a guest vocalist for Hotel Confluencia Jazz Band. In 2016, he summons Marita Hernando and Cecilia Nacinovich to form SPELL ON YOU: jazz project, merging chill out, blues, soul and funk. In 2017, José Luis Gimenez ventured into lyrical music, forming part of the Tríada group. In 2017, she participated in the international FESTIVEGAS competition with the song LA AUSENCIA DE NO VERTE, obtaining the First Prize GOLDEN FESTIVEGAS and a Mention of Excellence. In addition, José Luis Gimenez was awarded in Buenos Aires (Argentina) with the gold REINA DEL PLATA award as Solo Singer. In 2019, José Luis Gimenez received the Latin American award "SEÑAL LATINA" as Latin Singer. Starting in 2018, he began with the production and management of CONEXIÓN CAPITAL, a program of general interest and interviews on FM CAPITAL, the radio station of the Municipality of Neuquén. During 2018, José Luis Gimenez toured with the Neuquen Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Andres Tolcachir, with the show UN CONCIERTO DE PELÍCULA. Closing in 2019, with a presentation at the Cine Teatro Español. In 2018, he inaugurated an artistic training space in the city of Neuquén offering artistic and recreational activities in the areas of singing, dance, instruments and musical comedy: José Luis Gimenez Estudio Artístico Recreativo. In 2019, he vocally produced and directed the musical comedy SUPER TROUPER, the ABBA musical, presented in Neuquén. During this year, he opened the Third Provincial Jazz Festival of the province of Neuquén and was part of the grid of shows with SPELL ON YOU. She participated as a guest singer of BAY SWING shows addressing a jazz repertoire from the 20s to 50s and jazz manouche.
