About Matias
Hello! I'm Matias, a dedicated trumpet with a background in music from Manuel de Falla and Juan Pedro de Esnaola conservatories in Buenos Aires. I’ve been teaching trumpet for almost 12 years and I have found there a passion for teaching and sharing music with students I didn't know I had. I have played in several Jazz Clubs, Music Festivals and Concerts in Argentina and Latam. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical potential. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to guide you on your musical journey and help you achieve your goals.

I like to prepare customized approaches for every student, allowing me to pick out and develop strong points of yours, regardless of music skills and knowledge or age. In the lessons we learn:
- BREATHING, POSTURE, PROPER EMBOUCHURE The basics for playing trumpet is to develop a correct embouchure, a relaxed posture and understanding how to properly breathe. Building solid foundations is the key to consistently growing on your instrument
-TECHNIQUE AND REPERTOIRE Learn and develop the proper technique in order to being able to play every music you like. It's best to find a balance between technique exercises and learning songs/music you feel motivated to play to.
- MUSICAL NOTATION Music reading and notation, learn to read any score or piece of music you want to play.
- IMPROVISE IN VARIOUS STYLES Develop your musicality by learning to improvise in different rhythms and styles, being able to express yourself freely. Understand how harmony works and how can we transform technical exercises like scales, arpeggios and patterns into a consistent musical speech
- PLAY AND GET FAMILIAR WITH VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES Jazz, rock, pop, folk, classical music, etc. You can learn to play whatever style you dream to, and understand what makes a genre sound like one.
-HAVE FUN LEARNING AND PLAYING The most important part of this is the most basic: have fun. Enjoy learning music and playing an instrument. Seeing your progress will keep you motivated and enthusiastic!
