About Dr Eleanor
I’m a GMC-registered doctor currently working as a Locum Clinical Fellow Doctor (FY3) based in Edinburgh. I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2023.
I started tutoring because I’m passionate about supporting students through what can be a stressful and confusing degree, including the application process. Coming from a non-medical background and without family in healthcare, I didn’t have much “inside knowledge” when I applied to medical school — so I understand how overwhelming it can feel. My goal is to offer the kind of support I wish I’d had: someone just a few years ahead who understands the process and cares about your success. When I’m not working or tutoring, you’ll probably find me outdoors — I enjoy running, swimming and cycling, and I’m always up for a challenge!

I offer friendly, 1-to-1 or group support for anyone currently at medical school or preparing to apply in the UK. My lessons are flexible and tailored to you. We’ll focus on the areas where you need the most support, at a pace that works for you. I know this process can feel overwhelming, so my aim is to make it clearer, more manageable, and perhaps even enjoyable!

I’m a practising NHS doctor, so I understand what it takes to get into medicine and get through the degree. My teaching style is supportive and encouraging, and I’ll always aim to boost your confidence, clarity, and chances of success.
I offer 'one off' sessions as well as more regular input, in which case we will highlight some clear aims and objectives at the outset of us working together. These can change to adapt to your needs throughout the process.
