My approach to movement is natural, practical and mindful. You will experience an education that allows you to create, embody and develop. I have been described as a slow, strong teacher and have extensive knowledge of the body.
In classes like 'Not Just Yoga' you'll experience the breakdown of postures, the anatomy and learn how to sequence your own classes.
In Contemporary Dance technique you'll learn Cunningham and Release techniques as well as strength training. You'll always learn why we do something and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
Contemporary Dance Choreography is a class dedicated to sequencings, positioning and structuring dances. You will learn techniques like improvisation, unison and canon to give you the tools to create your own dance pieces.
In Ashtanga Yoga I'll give you the tools to make this practice your own. Variations are provided to make this practice suitable for the ultimate beginner. You will learn the set sequence and breathing techniques to enable you to use this technique as a personal practice.
Mindful Movement Yoga is all about learning how to be present in your practice and embodying movement more deeply. Often in classes we rush through movements without having the time to feel what muscles are active and how we feel in each position. In this class you'll have the opportunity for more movement exploration.
