About Xinming
Hi, I am Xinming, you can call me Grace. I had completed a teaching degree in Chinese at one of the six best normal universities, now I am studying Digital Technology Communication Education.
Outside my studies I enjoy travelling, filming, writing, and anything that inspires creativity. I am into all kinds of music and recently I've been obsessed with Korean songs, so I've started learning Korean on my own.
I want to teach Chinese because I want to make the best of what l learned at the undergraduate level to help beginners enjoy and get proficient in Chinese.

The typical length of a class is 40-60 minutes. I have more experience in teaching older children or adults who have a basic understanding of the Chinese language.
When in undergraduate education, I was trained to design Chinese classes in a proper way, which includes literature reading, speaking and writing. I think the keystone of language learning is linguistics learning. I got high scores in linguistics and usually applied the relevant knowledge to teaching.
I interned as a Chinese teacher for two months at a High School. As a teaching intern, I was in charge of preparing the teaching materials for Chinese literature lessons for two classes of 50-60 students. I was given the opportunity to conduct four lessons on expository writing skills for two classes of students. Through a series of mini-writing tasks, I guided students on defining a specific issue, developing a qualified and sophisticated argument, weaving in convincing and interesting evidence to support the stance, evaluating counterarguments, and providing valid rebuttals. This hands-on experience provided me with practical insights into language teaching.
