About Carmen
I am a student of English literature, philosophy and economics who loves to write. Over my time as a student, I have had several professors who have inspired my love of literature and learning. As a teacher myself, I hope to inspire the same passion for reading and writing about literature in my students. It is very important to me that lessons are fun and light hearted so that students want to keep learning and aren't deterred by stress.

I have knack for writing on top of extensive experience crafting analytical essays and dissertations at Oxford University in the UK and at Columbia University in the USA. I am also a published journalist and a senior editor at the Columbia University Political Review. I can tutor students ages 10 to 25 to help improve written work by talking through essay plans and outlines, practicing writing exercises at any level, editing drafts for clarity, content, and structure, working through literary texts, and much more.
