About Zahra
I'm a current 6th year medical student at Oxford and I have now been tutoring for over 5 years! I really love to teach, particularly the medical schools admissions process since it can be really difficult to navigate your way through different entrance exams, your personal statement and interviews on your own. My previous students have ended up doing very well, and it has always been wonderful to see their growth throughout the year. Practice makes perfect, so with the right help and hard work, any student can do well and reach their full potential!

My lessons typically last 1 to 1.5 hours, aimed at sixth form students who are looking to apply to Medicine at university. I like to go through a range of practice questions and work together with my student to work out strengths and weaknesses we can work on. For interviews, I conduct practice questions and then full mock interviews with detailed feedback.
I have over 6 years of tutoring experience with my students receiving offers from top universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Kings, Queen Mary, Cardiff, etc. I believe it is important to make the content of the course as interesting as possible since this makes it easier for information to be understood. Breaking ideas down to its simplest form and teaching from the basics ensures that students can fully grasp any concept they're faced with which is particularly important for subjects like Maths and Sciences within BMAT/UCAT that rely on the application of knowledge to different scenarios.
