About Lulu
I am a journalist who writes for Prospect, the FT and the TLS. I have a Masters in English from the University of Oxford, as well as a first-class English undergraduate degree. My specialist subject is Renaissance literature, especially Shakespeare.
I tutor any level of English language and literature, as well as creative writing.
My first novel will be published by HarperCollins in January.

As a tutor, I am friendly, creative and patient. Results are the main focus, but it's also important to instill a genuine interest in the subject. At school I struggled with dyspraxia (slow hand-writing, spatial awareness and slow processing skills) so I can understand the frustration of students who take a long time to grasp concepts, and who struggle with organisation. Motivating students to concentrate and recognize that what they're learning is interesting is one of my priorities.
