About Hisham
I scored in the 95th percentile of the TSA. I have intensively tutored 3 students for the TSA and Oxford admissions process, with two being successful in gaining an offer. I have worked both one-to-one and with groups of multiple tutees and have found a structured and engaging way of teaching which delivers optimal improvement in TSA score. One student who initially struggled improved from the mid 50 range to achieve a score of over 69, which ensured they were afforded the opportunity to shine at interview where they were successful. I now focus exclusively on TSA/Admissions tutoring, but I also have extensive experience tutoring A Level and GCSE subjects, with over 20 former tutees many of whom achieved top A and A* grades. Furthermore, I spent 3 weeks teaching English to groups of between 3-10 Czech teenagers and received a top mentor award from Angloville.

I have broken down the many TSA past papers into question types. After identifying the questions which pose an issue for the student, these will be prioritised. Working methodically, students I ensure that students follow logical method and understand why their answer is right or wrong, which is the key to success moving forward.
For interview preparation, I am similarly meticulous and make sure tutees are confident and well prepared, with a variety of topics to pre-prepare but I also provide students with experience in thinking on one’s feet and responding to unexpected interview questions. Discussion of progress, strengths and weaknesses with students in regular check-ups provides an opportunity to identify and confront weaknesses to ensure tutees are well rounded.
