About Emma
I graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Experimental Psychology in 2019. I have an MRes in Psychology, and I'm a PhD student at York University.
I am a qualified nursery nurse, so have been instructed formally in the basics of pedagogy, and do teaching/marking as part of my PhD.
I've also done lots if access work at Oxford, so can help with admissions tutoring and advice, from personal statement through to interview.
Stats and neuro are two related fields I can help out with, depending on topic. General research methods & essay writing would be topics I'd be happy to tutor also. Can do English/maths for younger children, and have A*A*A*A in bio, psych, citizenship & physics at A-level, so I'm happy to help with those.

My perspective is that anybody can learn anything by playing to their strengths. There's no such thing as someone who's "naturally" an A student or C student. I like to find out where each person's strengths lie and play to them. Using different methods of thinking about or seeing a topic-- whether using an analogy, mnemonics, or more visual presentations-- is my favourite way of helping others to deepen their understanding.
