About Isabelle
I am Isabelle, an English student at Oxford University. I am passionate and knowledgeable about English Literature and Language, and I'm looking forward to helping other young people to succeed in their education.
I believe anyone can excel in academia, but some people need a different style of teaching than what they are being offered in school. I want to offer a more personal (and hopefully fun!) teaching style which will help young people to achieve the academic results they want, but also to gain confidence in themselves and a greater appreciation of all things literature and language.

I have tutored a KS3 student for Schools Plus Oxford, A GCSE student for Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative, and coached an A-Level student for her application/interview to study English at Oxford University - she ended up getting an offer. Because I have experience tutoring students at different levels and abilities, I think I would be an effective tutor for a wide range of English students.
I achieved an A grade in A-Level English Literature, as well as an A in both history and art at A-Level, and an A* for my extended project qualification. I achieved 5 A* (8/9) grades in GCSE. I am looking forward to tutor students in KS3 and GCSE English Language and/or Literature, and A-Level English Literature. I will also be able to help students in their test preparation and university applications. I will also be able to help students looking for specific aid with reading/writing skills and creative writing.
My tutoring experience has all been online, through Zoom, Zero Gravity, and Bramble. I have proficiency using these platforms and have created lessons which are engaging and accessible even through a screen. I will be tutoring online, or in person locally.
