About Anissa
This is my first real time giving lessons on my own, however I have helped many of those taking ASL courses in college within a group setting. I have taught many family members as well to speak, and am in the process of teaching some of my co workers sign as well.

My name is Anissa and I am a sibling to two Deaf siblings. (The difference between “deaf” and “Deaf” will be something you will learn in my tutoring sessions!)
I have grown up learning and using, and have taken ASL courses in my college academic career. I am highly expressive and receptive in this language. I also have taken a diligent course in Deaf culture, which is something I plan to teach my students while learning ASL.
I currently work as a paraprofessional in a school with special needs and assist a child who is deaf and uses ASL as her main form of language. This language is a beautiful form of communication, and I am excited to share my knowledge and experiences to those who are interested!
