About Luc
I am a recent Cardiff University BScEcon(hons) economics and business graduate, about to start a postgraduate degree. I have worked very hard to achieve A*A*AA at A-Level and a First Class Honours in my degree. I have a deep understanding of the theory, and am very confident in teaching it.
My teaching method revolves around placing abstract theory in the context of the real world. Once a student is comfortable with the theory, I tend to work on essays - learning to master the 25 mark essay questions. However, my teaching methodologies are flexible to cater to each students needs.
I have tutored a number of GCSE and A-Level students through their courses, with great success, over the past two years.

Economics and business tend to have a reputation for lots of maths (particularly the former). However, a great A-Level understanding does not intrinsically require a mathematical approach. I will help you understand the world around you, using economic/ business theory, in a way that works for you.
I have a degree in Economics and Management (BScEcon) from Cardiff University, for which I was awarded a First Class Honours - demonstrating a strong theoretical understanding. This degree was 50% economics and 50% business studies, where I predominantly specialised in development economics, and microeconomics, particularly game theory on the economics side, and finance and strategy on the management side.
At A-Level I studied Economics, English Language, and Geography - three essay subjects, which has been helpful in developing my written competency.
Having successfully tutored a number of students at GCSE and A-Level, I have a good level of experience in online and in-person tutoring. I am more than happy to tutor from your home, mine, or online.
More than anything, I am really passionate about the subjects, and this shines through in my teaching. This can help motivate more reluctant students, who have been frustrated with the classroom’s approach to the disciplines.
