About Joe
I’m Joe Cooper. I am an Essex-based college lecturer, leading a Level 2 Music Performance and Production course, and I am obsessed with music. Primarily a drummer, I have been in a vast array of bands, in genres such as rock, metal, pop, funk, ska/reggae, jazz and orchestral, and studied music performance and production throughout college and university. I have performed, on kit and piano, in a range of reputable genres including the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s, Asylum and Hampton Court Palace.
I love playing piano, I feel that is is such an invaluable skill to have as a musician, so whether you want to delve deep into complex chords and composition, or learn to play your favourite songs, or just to have a cool party trick to show off, get in touch!

Having taught myself drums, piano and guitar, I have learnt the value of fun and enjoyment when learning music. I like to cater sessions to individual learners and understand what they want from me as a teacher and from themselves as a practitioner. I am generally obsessed with most music genres and mostly excited to share a passion and love for learning music.
