About Ajmal
I am a dedicated and approachable mathematics tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for teaching. I hold a PhD in Engineering from RMIT University and currently work as a lecturer at a local university. With over 13 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students from a wide range of academic levels, abilities, and learning styles.
I am patient, supportive, and committed to helping students feel confident in their learning. I understand that mathematics can be challenging, and I strive to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them develop strong analytical thinking skills and a clearer understanding of mathematical concepts that will benefit them long term.

My lessons are guided by my experience as a PhD-qualified engineering academic and university lecturer, combined with over 13 years of teaching mathematics at different levels. I focus on helping students truly understand mathematical concepts, not just apply formulas. Each lesson is carefully structured to match the student’s current level, learning pace, and academic goals. I emphasize logical thinking, clear reasoning, and step-by-step problem solving, which are essential for success in both school and university mathematics. I encourage students to ask questions freely and actively engage in the learning process. Through clear explanations, worked examples, and guided practice, I help students build strong foundations, improve exam performance, and gain confidence in their abilities. My aim is to make mathematics feel manageable, structured, and achievable for every student.
