About Doja
I'll start with my 'why'- You may be surprised to learn that I wasn't born in England therefore English is not my first language.
Coming here at a young age, I was introduced to a whole new world, however not being able to communicate effectively through speaking, restricted full access to this new world. It reduced me to being a mere observer instead of the full blown participant I longed to be. Socialising, education, even my understanding paid a price for my inability to translate my thoughts into words effectively. I had a stutter when speaking, I was nervous when addressing larger crowds and refused to speak in school assemblies. Until one day that all changed...
My breakthrough moment came when a teacher of mine encouraged me to read out aloud in class, usually I would politely decline but that day, she didn't take my no for an answer. She saw something in me, potential? Whatever it was, she praised my reading and encouraged me day after day after day to read to the class. Before too long it became second nature, her confidence in me had rubbed off to myself and I became less nervous at the thought of speaking in front of the class and subsequently larger crowds. Miss Fielding, I thank you massively!
Due to her confidence in me it propelled me to be more confident in myself, I began socialising more, not being afraid of being judged for what I was saying or the slight accent I was saying it in, I began to speak in assemblies and the pinnacle was when I even had the courage to audition for the part of the lead role in the Pied Piper of Hamlin play and I got it!
There was no stopping me now! As an adult, I went on to have an eventful music career where I performed in front of thousands of people. I was a teacher that has taught in a wide range of learning institutions and today currently I run a music education company giving presentations and coaching all around the world.
To summarise, I realised what belief, consistency, perseverance and coaching did for me. It encouraged me to speak up both literally and figuratively. I now dedicate my life to being that source of belief and inspiration for others. I am a first-hand example of what the power of confident speaking can do and how far it can take you.
Fast forward to today, I am an eloquent, confident speaker with no accent and meticulous enunciation. But it would not have been possible without Miss Fielding and her belief. I look forward to being your 'Miss Fielding' and I am convinced that whatever it is that you would like to achieve for yourself or your children, we will get there with consistency, professionalism and enjoyment! Let's go!

Our lessons are designed to develop confident and accurate speakers.
Being a good orator is crucial to success in most areas of life so lessons last for 1 hour 30 minutes which is sufficient time to improve delivery, diction and assertiveness when speaking.
Our lessons place emphasis on a range of factors including word choice (lexis), audience, being clear and concise, structure, content, enunciation, pronunciation and delivery, amongst other things.
Lessons are designed to be fun and as interactive as possible, we use games, presentations, songs and other useful tools to enhance engagement and learning. Expect to have a good time and to be challenged!
Typically, our sessions are tailor made for children as young as 7 to adults of all ages.
I have vast experience helping people of all levels, from people who speak English as an additional language to fluent, native english speakers.
