About Marie
I am a professional Flute tutor with over 11 years of teaching experience. I teach students from School level to College and working professionals who wish to learn flute in a clear and supportive environment.
My teaching approach is simple, organised, and result-oriented. I focus on strong basics such as breathing control, posture, finger placement, tone quality, and rhythm accuracy. I adapt lessons according to each student’s level and goals.
Along with flute training, I teach music theory, sight reading, scale practice, rhythm exercises, and ear training. These subjects help students improve their musical understanding and confidence. I also assist students with exam preparation, performance skills, and stage confidence.
One of my unique strengths is my ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently. I guide students with structured practice routines and continuous support. My goal is to help students enjoy learning flute and achieve their musical goals.

I follow a student-friendly teaching methodology for flute that focuses on clear communication, creative learning, and flexible instruction. My aim is to help students feel comfortable and confident while learning music.
Communication helps students learn with clarity. I explain concepts step by step and demonstrate techniques during lessons. I encourage open interaction so students feel free to ask questions. Regular feedback helps students improve steadily.
Creativity keeps lessons engaging. I include creative exercises, musical patterns, and enjoyable songs. I focus on musical expression, tone development, and rhythm to help students connect emotionally with music.
Flexibility allows lessons to match individual needs. I adjust lesson speed and content based on student progress and learning style. Beginners receive patient guidance, while advanced students are challenged with higher-level material.
Flute training includes breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger technique, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. I emphasise healthy playing habits.
Along with flute, I teach supporting subjects such as music theory, ear training, rhythm practice, and performance preparation. These subjects strengthen musical understanding.
My teaching environment is positive, supportive, and encouraging.
