About Elizabeth
I am, first and foremost, passionate about chemistry. My excitement for science was ignited early on by teachers who challenged me to think critically about the universe and ultimately propelled me to earn my Bachelors degree in Chemistry at UCLA. I then attended UCSB to get my Masters in Chemistry with a Chemical Education Emphasis, and finally my teaching credential. Throughout my studies, I honed my craft as a highly adaptable tutor and instructor for every age group from elementary to university learners.
I have been employed as a full time high school and community college chemistry instructor since 2020. I dedicate my career to pushing developing scientists to overcome barriers to engage deeply with chemical phenomena.

My approach is always personalized to fit your needs! Since 2014, I have taught students of every age (from elementary science to undergraduate chemistry) in a variety of settings. Having tutored a wide array of high school and undergraduate learners, I am particularly skilled at adapting my methods to students' specific needs and learning style. I have also developed a vast repertoire of resources and strategies to support chemistry learning across virtual settings. I am uniquely prepared to help any chemistry learner to connect with content from their chemistry course, but I will also provide free supplemental resources, reference materials, etc. as appropriate to support learning.
