About Imogen
Hola and Bonjour! My name is Imogen and I am a student currently studying French and Spanish at Durham University and you can find me on the tennis court in my free time.
Having had a tutor myself during my GCSE period I understand the importance of finding the right fit and being able to form a connection to really make the most of tutoring. Having a tutor through this period helped me to gain 10 A*'s at GCSE level which then in turn allowed me to obtain 3 A*'s at A-leveI.
In terms of tutoring experience, I have volunteered at my local primary school to assist with weekly English lessons and I was also part of my school's 'homework club' to offer help to younger students from less privileged backgrounds. More informally, I am currently helping out my younger sister who is currently sitting her GCSE's.
I have a great passion for French and Spanish and have always enjoyed helping others in order that they can also understand the enjoyment one gets from being able to communicate with others in another language.
I am in the fortunate position of still currently being a student and having been both tutor and tutee in recent years has allowed me to understand how to let someone get the most out of tutoring through an enthusiastic and patient approach.
