About Asa
I am an enthusiastic piano tutor with 11 years of experience teaching students from different backgrounds including school, college, and working professionals. I enjoy making learning simple, engaging, and effective. My teaching approach is based on communication, flexibility, and encouragement. I customise my lessons according to each student’s goals and learning pace.
I focus on building strong basics and gradually improving skills. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, rhythm training, and ear development to help students become confident musicians. I also include song learning and practical exercises to make lessons interesting.
My strength is simplifying learning and making it enjoyable. I help students build confidence, improve consistency, and develop good practice habits. I believe in creating a friendly and motivating environment. My goal is to help students enjoy music and grow in their piano journey.

My teaching methodology emphasises confidence, creativity, and individualised learning. I believe piano education should be both technically thorough and creatively inspiring, fostering a love for music and self-expression. Through open communication, I understand each student’s goals, challenges, and learning style, which allows me to design lessons that are effective, engaging, and personalised.
Creativity is a key part of my approach. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose music, and explore different genres, developing originality and artistic expression. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, skill level, and preferred learning style, fostering steady progress and enjoyment.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive methodology develops technical mastery, musical understanding, and expressive ability. My goal is to cultivate confident, creative, and lifelong musicians who enjoy exploring and performing music.
