About Owen
I am a dedicated piano tutor with 14 years of experience, having taught over 200 students ranging from beginners to advanced performers. My approach is rooted in personalized learning—each lesson is thoughtfully tailored to match the student’s pace, goals, and musical interests. I specialize in a wide range of styles including classical, jazz, funk, pop, and R&B, and also provide instruction on keyboard, synthesizer, and harpsichord. My lessons focus on developing strong foundational technique, musical expression, sight-reading, improvisation, and performance confidence. I focus on technique, musical expression, sight-reading, and improvisation, using a mix of classical training and contemporary styles like jazz, pop, funk, and R&B. Lessons are structured yet flexible, allowing room for creativity and personal progress. I also offer instruction in related areas such as keyboard, synthesizer, and harpsichord to expand musical understanding. My goal is to nurture confident, expressive musicians who enjoy the process as much as the performance.
