About Bogdan
I am a university student in Edinburgh (Scotland) studying Policing & Criminology. I have a relaxed yet efficient style of teaching, finding this to be the most enjoyable format for teaching based on my experience teaching at beginner/ intermediate level and also through my experience being taught up to advanced. I have around 8 years of guitar playing experience, starting off with private guitar lessons at the age of 11. However, I did not enjoy the formal music school setting, feeling it held me back and made me lose my passion for music. I then decided to leave the music school, and pursue graded books in my own time, focusing on enjoying what I was learning. I found this to be a great attitude which has helped me play 7 instruments, showing my passion for music which made me return to lessons later on and also to performances. Apart from music, I enjoy volunteering and sports such as basketball and volleyball. I am a relaxed and funny guy, but at the same time I enjoy seeing goals be reached, which means my classes will be efficient. As I mentioned before, I have been teaching guitar before, having been asked by people to do so based on them seeing me play in the past. This has been mainly for younger people aged 8-13, which was a challenging yet rewarding time, in which my students have build a true passion for the instrument throughout time, learning to enjoy it and pursue it further. This is one of the main reasons as to why I put so much effort behind the scenes into my lessons, and I hope to further inspire people to begin playing the guitar and using it as a gate for expression, discipline and development.

My lessons are relaxed but effective, having found from past teaching experiences with 8-13 year old's that this style works best. My lessons would be build around the students genre of preference and goals to ensure that lessons are not a chore but remain an enjoyment. Usually lessons would be an hour, with a free extra 5 minutes for tuning. Beginner lessons usually consist of learning chords and applying them in order to play your favorite songs, building into more advanced picking and strumming patterns along the way. Intermediate lessons would be more focused on fingerstyle or solos, giving you a chance to learn techniques for composing your own songs, allowing you to express yourself. With my past experience receiving and also giving lessons with a range of different people, I would be able to relate to my students and build my lessons around them, also recommending further practices in out of lessons hours for further development.
