About Joey
I'm a big follower of Christ and really enjoy helping people understand all the awesome things the Bible has to offer. I've been really involved in my church for a while now, particularly on the prayer and altar teams. It's a real privilege to get to pray with people about everything from everyday challenges to bigger things like salvation.
I believe that living out the Gospel goes beyond just the pulpit. It's about putting it into practice through action, like volunteering for church events or driving the homeless to make sure they're cared for. I'm also really focused on my own spiritual growth. I'm part of a weekly discipleship group led by the pastor, and also a men's fellowship where we apply Biblical truths to our daily lives.
I like using the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible and Warren Wiersbe's commentaries to help us really understand the scriptures better. My goal is to be more than just a tutor. I'd like to be a brother in Christ who walks alongside you as you discover the power of the Living Word and develop a confident, scriptural prayer life.

We go far beyond simply reading the text; instead, we dive deep into its rich historical context, utilizing both the Wiersbe Commentary and the Thompson Chain-Reference system as powerful tools for understanding. Every session includes a hands-on 'Scripture Chain' exercise to help you connect the Word, followed by practical life application and a focused time of intercessory prayer to apply what we've learned.
