About Jennifer
I've been a certificated teacher for more than 20 years. I am licensed to teach English, Social Studies, History, Political Science, and Sociology. Over the course of my teaching career, I have taught both in person and online, and for middle school and high school age children. In addition to a traditional classroom, I have been an alternative school teacher and have had the privilege of including students of all learning abilities. I have a particular passion for helping students with ADHD learn to embrace their chaos, and to develop strategies to succeed with ADHD.
My interest in teaching English stems from the opportunities I've had to travel and experience other cultures and differences in language. Helping others learn English ensures their ability to participate in a global economy that often requires an understanding of English. This participation also means the possibility of a better life and greater opportunities.
