About Lucy
Hello! My name is Lucy, and I am currently studying Crime and Investigative Studies at university. I have always enjoyed learning and helping others understand new topics, which is why I decided to start tutoring.
I achieved Grade 8 in both GCSE English Language and English Literature, as well as strong results across a range of other subjects, before completing an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, achieving the equivalent of AAB at A-level. My academic journey has taught me that everyone learns differently, and I understand the importance of patience, encouragement and building confidence.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy reading, learning languages (currently am able to speak 5) and practising judo. These hobbies have helped me develop discipline, resilience and good time management, which I bring into my tutoring sessions.
As a tutor, my goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities. Whether a student is preparing for exams, improving their literacy skills or simply needs extra support with schoolwork, I aim to make every lesson engaging, encouraging and tailored to their individual needs. I also always encourage questions as I believe curiosity to be one of the most important methods of learning.
I look forward to helping students achieve their goals and enjoy learning along the way.

Hello! My name is Lucy, and I am a university student with a passion for English and helping others learn. I achieved Grade 8 in both GCSE English Language and English Literature and have continued to develop my academic writing and communication skills throughout my studies.
I offer friendly, patient and personalised lessons for KS2/KS3 students. Whether your child needs help improving their reading, writing, grammar, spelling, comprehension or exam confidence, I aim to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual needs and goals. We can work through school homework, revise for exams, practise essay writing, improve literacy skills or simply build confidence in English. My aim is to make learning engaging, encouraging and enjoyable while helping students make steady progress.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual. I believe that patience, encouragement and clear explanations are key to helping students reach their full potential.
At KS2 level my lessons will last 45 minutes (60mins at special request) and at KS3 a lesson will last 60 minutes*
*All timings are subject to change upon request if it is feasible at the time :)
