Connie is a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher that any student would be lucky to have. She personalises the delivery of lessons and their contents in a way that is easy to understand but still accurate, something that I have personally found to be key in continuing my journey in learning Spanish. In addition to this, she gives real-world context and uses of vocabulary and grammar structures; how people actually speak in real life. Her easy-going nature and ability to make lessons funny not only brightens the difficult content but also has personally been key in my understanding and memory of Spanish grammar. I couldn’t recommend her to prospective students more, regardless of their competency in the target subject.

I still remember when she had me pretend to order food at a French cafe during a lesson—she played the role of an impatient Parisian waiter, which made me laugh but also helped me improve my fluency under pressure. Connie is also incredibly patient and encouraging. There were times when I felt stuck, particularly with verb conjugations, but she never made me feel self conscious. Instead, she found creative ways to explain concepts, often using stories or mnemonics that made them stick. Connie is warm, supportive, and genuinely invested. It gave me the confidence to keep trying, even when I made mistakes. I wouldn't be where I am without her.
