I am a qualified health and social care teacher with 3 and a half years of experience. I worked as a HLTA prior to getting my pgce, focusing particularly on BTEC level 3 health and social care students. I have 5 years of experience in education.

I base my lessons on topics students may find challenging and encourage them to work with me during our sessions to boost their confidence and gain a better understanding of the topic. For example, starting off with the topic, asking them what they know from what they’ve been previously taught and scaffold from what they know. Ask them questions which will lead to a similar outcome and encourage them to think critically to cover all areas.
