About Samantha
I began training other pharmacy technicians in 2000 while working as a senior technician at a hospital. Since then, I've been tasked with training pharmacists and techs on processing prescriptions, managing patients, troubleshooting insurance, aseptic technique, clean room suite cleaning and disinfecting, preparing facilities for accreditation, preparing certified technicians for the CSPT exam, and so much more. I am passionate about advocating for technicians by providing them with more knowledge and improved skills and also by educating pharmacists on how to further train and utilize technicians. I have shared several presentations at NHIA conferences on proper training programs and meticulous aseptic technique as well as other state pharmacy board conferences. When sharing my knowledge, I bring my dedication to this industry and to you as a peer.

As a pharmacy educator, I am experienced in teaching to all learning styles. I can provide written lessons, flash cards, virtual demonstrations, and many other options depending on your learning preference and the topic you select. I have educated pharmacists, technicians, microbiologists, and people with no experience simply trying to determine if pharmacy is the field they want to pursue. Lessons can include basics of retail pharmacy such as top 200 oral meds, sig codes, and insurance processes or for more experience pharmacy personnel lesson plans can focus on accreditation standards for The Joint Commission or Accreditation Commission for Health Care. Lesson plans will be completely customized to each individual.
