About Charlie
I am a patient and empathetic teacher who enjoys seeing my students succeed. Maths is a daily part of my life as I apply my skills to difficult aerospace problems. However, during my teaching time I try to make these problems as down-to-earth as possible. I always try to see a problem from the point of view of the student and cater my explanations to their struggles accordingly. I obtained A* in Maths and Further Maths at A-level and GCSE. I then went on to obtain a first class MEng Aeronautical Engineering degree from Imperial College London in 2023. I am now working towards a PhD in Aerospace Engineering at Imperial. I have tutored multiple students since 2021 and have developed my teaching experience. In my spare time I like to build rockets, play hockey and go to the gym!

After an initial discussion to understand a student's struggles, I then take them through worked examples using my iPad. As I provide my explanations, I often pause to ensure the student understands, and to answer any questions they may have. To make my lessons unique and helpful, I like to show students tricks to aid their memory and save time in exams. Furthermore, I like to use diagrams and different colours to break down complicated concepts.
