About Ambrose
I currently hold a Joint Research Scientist position at the School of Clinical Medicine, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. I obtained my BSc. Hon. in Microbiology from the University of Agriculture Makurdi, Nigeria and my MSc. and PhD in Biological Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I have mentored students from diverse backgrounds especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. I have helped a number of struggling students to master their learning skills.

I always ensure to create an interactive classroom environment where students are encouraged to express their ideas freely and this enhances students' focus throughout the session. I always use every avenue to help my students develop the skills to learn. I always perform a complete diagnosis of the class to gain information about students’ understanding of the concept. This approach allows me to monitor the pace at which the lecture is delivered, as some concepts may require a slower pace. As a biology teacher, I want my students to understand the relevance of biology to their lives by using a simple and explicit illustration approach in explaining topics of the module to students which facilitate good feedback from the student.
