About Olivia
As a passionate and dedicated music educator with a PhD in music education specializing in violin, my journey in teaching and performing has been deeply enriching. A violin or viola lesson with me is a personalized and enriching experience aimed at developing both technical prowess and musical expression. The core of our lessons focuses on building strong technical foundations essential for violin and viola playing. We work on exercises that improve bowing technique, finger dexterity, intonation, posture, and sound production. These fundamentals not only enhance your ability to play with accuracy and control but also prepare you for tackling more challenging repertoire with confidence.
In addition to technical exercises, we explore a diverse repertoire ranging from classical masterpieces to jazz standards and contemporary pieces.
