About Lorelei

Hi, I'm Lorelei Tucker, a science writer and former undergraduate biology instructor with a PhD in Neuroscience. I'm dedicated to teaching students at all levels, meeting them at their experience level to help them meet their learning goals. I believe learning is a personal process - everyone's brain and learning style is different. I incorporate this into my teaching process. If repetition and learning exercises work for you, I'll make the materials and work you through them. If you're hung up on a topic and you just need someone to talk you through it, I got you. I'm well-versed in cellular and molecular biology, neuroscience, and general chemistry. I'm also a published, professional writer and can help coach you in writing assignments, manuscripts, theses, and much more.

About the lesson

I work with each student before our first session to help tailor my lesson plan to their needs and learning styles. That means accommodating learners who prefer memorization and those that need hands-on problem solving experience.

I have experience teaching and training high schoolers, undergraduates, and graduate students in biology and chemistry.
