Dr Marty possesses a peerless approach to pedagogy and an unparalleled understanding of the intricacies of social and political science, history and geography. Adopting a methodical and caring approach, he works hard to impart his passion for these subjects onto his students. Some topics we explored in our classes included 19th century colonialism, sustainable development, and disaster capitalism. Marty helped pinpoint weaknesses in my writing that I had never even recognised. In doing so, he guided me to write with the flair and depth required to maintain high distinction grades for university. I even received 96% for a mid-term paper! Indubitably, Marty was instrumental in helping me gain admission into Australia's top law school. Given his PhD and decades working in journalism, his hourly rate is more than fair.
