About Richard

I am a PhD-qualified academic with extensive experience supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students across UK universities. I have lectured at university level, supervised dissertations, and supported students through all stages of academic work — from clarifying assignment briefs to structuring, editing and strengthening final submissions. My approach is calm, practical and focused on helping students understand what is being asked, how to respond critically, and how to present work to a high academic standard. I specialise in supporting students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to meet marking criteria. I work particularly well with international students and those returning to study, helping build confidence, academic writing skills and clarity of thought. Focus on academic English and international learners
