When you work with me, I will teach you not only the math, but also the mindset behind being good at math that helped me get into the top universities in my field and get a top GRE score. I will teach you how to ace the test that you have tomorrow AND how to navigate the system. All levels are welcome. I am very good at explaining things.
Background: I have a BA from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, in Economics and Environmental Studies. After graduating from Lewis & Clark, I attended The London School of Economics in London, UK, where I earned a Diploma in Economics with First Class Honours. The economics program at LSE was the most competitive program in the university. After LSE, I attended Oxford University and earned a Master's of Philosophy in Economics. The results of my dissertation were published in a major health economics journal. After graduation, I returned to the US where I currently reside.
In preparation for graduate school, I studied for the GRE and earned a perfect math score, a perfect essay score, and a near-perfect verbal score. My scores were: GRE Verbal: 163, 92nd Percentile Quantitative: 170, 98th Percentile Analytical: 6.0, 99th Percentile. I have also studied Algebra, Statistics, Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, Calculus II, and Differential Equations. At times, while working full-time at a tech startup in Silicon Valley while also working as the metropolitan director of a clean technology non-profit. A graduate of Miss Porter's School, I've studied at UC Berkley and attended lectures at Yale, and students I've mentored have been accepted at Harvard.
I also have teaching experience. After attending Lewis & Clark College, I taught at Teach For America on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. At the time that I applied, it had a lower acceptance rate than Harvard. When you work with me, I can show you how to achieve the same in your life.
