About Carlotta
I am a PhD student in a somewhat bizarre but fascinating subject, the history of Christianity! I studied medieval philosophy at the University of Padua at a school of excellence, the Galileian School of Higher Studies, and I will soon discuss my doctoral thesis in the history of contemporary Christianity. Born in Rome, I studied in Padua, then in Paris at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes in the religious sciences section: during that rich and tiring year I also had the opportunity to put my passion for the arts to good use, working in a renowned contemporary art gallery. I returned to Paris the second year of my doctorate, as a visiting researcher, and recently for some archival research. I have a passion for languages (life and death) and I speak fluently English and French, and a little less fluent German. Teaching is my passion and I hope one day it will be my job. I do not just feed on books but also on TV series, comics and cinema.

Mine is a living methodology, cut out on the pupil or on the students who address me: I try to personalize the method drawing on both my and my student's experiences, perhaps using diversified supports. Videos, podcasts, even songs, as well as lyrics. I have worked and worked with high school and middle school students. I want to provide well-structured lessons, and I usually ask in advance about what topic the student or the students want to work in order to prepare the lesson. It generally takes place by discussing unclear points to the student and then proceeding, in an inductive way, to widen the spectrum of the lesson. It generally ends with a recapitulation of the points addressed in class. I make extensive use of summary tables and iconographic supports.
