About Melody
As a PhD student, I’ve personally struggled with memorising facts for exams. What transformed my learning was focusing on why those facts matter understanding the reasoning and history behind them made everything click and helped me become a stronger, more confident student.
That experience shapes how I teach. I aim to help students move beyond memorisation and towards real understanding, so they can engage with the material more deeply and retain it more effectively.
I’m passionate about giving students that same shift in perspective helping them not just succeed in exams, but actually enjoy and connect with what they’re learning.

My approach to tutoring is centred on building a deep, core understanding of each topic. I focus on the background and reasoning behind concepts so students develop a strong foundation they can build on with confidence.
I have experience teaching mathematics to students who were falling behind, helping them not only catch up but grow in confidence and enjoyment. I encourage students gently but consistently, supporting them to excel and to see how maths applies to everyday life.
I believe every student has the potential to succeed they just need the right support, encouragement, and enthusiasm. I’m passionate about helping students discover that, and I bring that energy to every session.
